Review: Body Magic

Body Magic
Body Magic by Poppy Dennison

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars. I enjoyed this one almost as much as the first. I say almost only because this is a trilogy and things were left very open at the end. I kinda wish I had waited until the next book is out because now I'm so impatient to read the next! I can't wait to see who the next couple is (Cormac please?) and I love reading about Simon and Gray and the family.

Recommended if you've read the first book (which you should!). :)

Review: Moving On

Moving On
Moving On by H.J. Holt

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 stars. I actually started this a few weeks ago and put it down. Picked it back up again today and plodded through. I can't put my finger on what it was, but it was a bit...slow. I mean, by the blurb you think the ex will be a huge deal but there's a brief confrontation and then he's gone? And while the sex was hot, there was so much of it! Plus, what kind of partner lets his 'friend' put down his man and doesn't even say anything about it?

Despite what I wrote, I didn't hate it. The writing wasn't bad, I think I was just expecting more.

Review: Love in La Terraza

Love in La Terraza
Love in La Terraza by Ethan Day

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this! Loved the two MC's, and the tenants of La Terraza were hilarious. Great dialogue and humor throughout. Sweet love story, plus, the sex was off the charts hot! Can see myself rereading this in the future.

Review: With a Kiss

With a Kiss
With a Kiss by Kim Dare

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kim Dare is known for her steamy BDSM writing. Doms, subs, leather, whipping, spanking, bondage; you'll find that and more in her work. But I think this is hands down my favorite story of hers. While it is a BDSM romance, it's so much more. Liam is a volunteer at a hospital. He sits with a patient and chats to keep them company. He has been assigned to Marcus (a vampire, but apparently that's ok in this reality. Though that's never really explained, they are fully intergrated with human society), who has been in a coma for three years. Liam also has an abusive boyfriend. After a bad beating, he ends up waking Marcus up with a chaste kiss on New Years Eve.

And what follows next is such an amazing love story. Liam is frightened of most things, but Marcus treats him with such care and patience (all the while suffering from the after effects of a vampire being in a coma for three years). Liam opening up to Marcus (and the outside world) and Marcus' feelings for his 'pet' is just such a fantastic read.

A great twist on a classic fairytale!!

Review: One Real Thing

One Real Thing
One Real Thing by Anah Crow

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG, the love I have for this book knows no bounds.Everything about this book hits my hot spots. The characters, the pacing, the writing, the relationship (the subtle...and then not-so-subtle D/S overtones throughout the book were spot-on and fucking perfect). I even enjoyed the secondary characters as they were pretty well fleshed out. It's a friends-to-lovers story, but so.much.more. Watching Holly and Nick each crash and burn in their respective lives and then figure out what they have both been missing out on is just amazing. I can't recommend this book enough!

Review: Nighttime Wishes

Nighttime Wishes
Nighttime Wishes by M.A. Church

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars! I freakin loved this! I had no idea what was going to happen...and then I had to keep reading to find out what happens next! And its book one! Can't wait until the next book! (seriously, when is it coming out?)

Pure, fantasy m/m sci-fi (which was exactly what I was in the mood for and just didn't know it) :)

Review: Perfect Day

Perfect Day
Perfect Day by Josh Lanyon

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars. Loved this! It's only shy of 30 pages, but you can't even tell when your done reading. Most short stories leave you wanting more, but this one was just perfect. You get to know Graham and Wyatt and their emotions are spot-on.
